I Fell Off the Wagon...

I want to start this off by saying I’m sorry.  But that sounds like it’s something I shouldn’t have done and that I won’t do again.

But I will.

You see, I fell off the writing wagon.  I made a promise to myself that even though it’s hard for me, I’m going to get out there and write – write my blog and share.

But sometimes,

things look different first thing in the morning.  You wonder how you’re going to handle the ‘necessities’ of life and can’t even get your head wrapped around the things you REALLY want to do.

Then at the end of the day, you wonder how you ever made it through and there’s not an ounce of energy left for anything else.  Like I couldn’t even move my fingers across the keyboard or get my head to form a coherent sentence.

And it hasn’t just been with my writing.  I will let you in on a BIG secret (psst…it’s been with my exercising too – yikes!!!  don’t tell anyone!)

Yes I can blame two partially torn muscles, hip bursitis, some bizarre results showing up in my blood work, and trying to get everything together for my son to start a new school.  The reality is though, I made my choices and I am living with them.

I feel yucky.

And I don’t like it.  I made a commitment to myself and although that’s really easy to push aside because EVERYTHING else is more important, it really isn’t.

But I want to get back up on the horse.  So yesterday morning I did – sort of – I jumped on the elliptical.

Back on the proper pathway.

And today?

New post – not enlightening in my field of service – but honest.

And it’s a start.

And I’m moving forward.

{Big sigh} – that’s better.
