Congratulations! You completed the Shoulder Flexibility Test. Watch this video first before starting on your personalized exercise rehab program.
Scoring a 1 During the Shoulder Flexibility Test means that it was truly difficult for you to attempt the movement. These are the movements you should start with with your exercises below.
If you scored a 1 on flexion or abduction, start with these moves before rotation.
A score of 2 means that you probably have functional ability but it hurts. Hurts to complete the tasks you have to do everyday and limits your ability to get back into the sporting activities you love.
If you scored a 2 for any of the shoulder movements, jump right into those exercises below. But remember, your pain level of pain should stay below a 5 on the Pain Rating Scale.
Congratulation on scoring a 3 on your shoulder movements. That means you’re doing well. But there is room for improvement so work through the exercises making sure to follow the Tips and Tricks. Any movement for which you scored a 3 are the ones you save until the end. Do your # 1 and #2 movements first.

By working to improve your neutral posture you’ll see better and faster results from your exercises.
Remember your neutral spine and thumb pointing forward.
Keep a nice curve in your low back and don’t arch through your mid back as you move your arm.
Remember all movement from the shoulder and not the wrist or elbow. No leaning.
The addition of abduction to this exercise helps your body (and brain) work through this range of motion.
It’s easiest to do in supine (on your back) to minimize the compensations that can happen.
