OK, all silliness aside, Slipper Slides is GREAT for Breast Cancer Patients who need support with their walking rehab.
I know it stemmed from a little too much energy and being cooped up in the house due to COVID-19 but this is my zone of genius – creating movement strategies to meet the needs of my patients.
And this really does…you’ve gotta try it.
This works:
your glutes
stretches your adductors
works on your balance
gets your core engaged
helps develop proper body alignment
…and all while having fun in your slippers.
A quick note, you can do this in your socks and you HAVE to be careful and don’t go crazy with the sliding. It’s all about control. That’s how you get the core engagement by keeping the control of your movement.
